Can you explain more about the leadership committee of the STO chapter you are are setting up? The thread you give is closed to none members so could you open it up to public or explain here please. How are the leaders of the clan determined? How many ppl do u want in this guild? Will there be a fleet composed of separate ships or just one ship? Will people join up to be a tactical officer on a certain ship etc or just hold any position in game? Or are these things still open to the new guild ie they can be reformultated to meet the members' demands?

I started the FAQ based upon your questions, but the primary answer is that the members will determine how it will be run. The base Charter is already written (link (http://www.golegend.com/legend/portal/showthread.php?t=3921)), but how the Guild will function in relation to the game mechanics will be figured out by everyone.

Can u enable my membership plz and I would like to apply for an acting director position if you have one still available(sorry if in wrong thread i can't post on other forums yet). Its good things aren't pre-determined on position as inevitably some classes might not be very good to play in-game.

Do you allow ALT characters, eg someone plays as a captain mainly but maintains an engineer on the side?

I'm wondering if we can't as a guild get in touch with soem of the deelopers or even the producer and see about getting a guild Beta invite. We are one of the larger online guilds right now and many of us have beta tested several products before.

Might be a good idea for later on. Right now we would probably just get the usual "we do not have beta plans set at this time" type line.

Greetings!! I am very much interested in joining this group. From what I've read its charter requires of its members what I would want in a guild. I have already registered so I submit myself to your review.

A little about my gaming experience. I started playing MMOs with SWG. I played that for a year and left just befor the release of JTL. While there though I was leader of a guild (MSA: Midnight Sun Alliance) on the Naritus server and founded a town called Oasis not far from Mos Eisley. I then played CoH, CoV, WoW, and most recently DDO, however I have cancled my account there due to cash flow. I am eagerly awaiting the release of STO and look forward to gaming with everyone.

If you are interested in joining the Acting Director team of officers, you are also welcome to join that as well. The officer team is currently open to everyone who wants to help in our efforts letting other potential STO players find out about us.

Negative. STO is still in development, however Im sure we all eagerly await its arrival.:whistle:

yep worked for me, like your concepts and ideals they seem very fitting for STO, a game i intend to play

I may as well add some of my gaming journey:

you get the idea its a mmo.. i played it often in beta as well as live.

I'm sure it will be similar to swg and ddo and all the other mmo's but with a star trek theme and lots of 'star trekian' things to do.

Hello, im eagerly awaiting STO (as most of you probably are as well).
im a big trekkie and WILL be playing it when it is realised. I am interested in joining the guild. I am a long time veteran of online games.
Recently I have played the following...
Starfleet Command for 3 years. In the 32nd Fleet. Starlance member, Gorn fleet admiral.
Star Wars Galaxies. Beta tested the game. Veteran of over 3 years. I am in the guild DARK on the Radiant server.
I was just accepted to Lord Of The Rings Online. Will begin Beta testing tomorrow.
I'm most excited about Star Trek Online. Can't wait to return to my roots! :rockon:

Hi all!
I've played STO some in OB and loved it beyond the words :), even though I am not a trekky. I am 36 yo, and I have subbed for annual. Found your guild description in one of the folks thread about looking to join a mature fleet. I'd love to join your STO fleet. I love all your rules and use similar ones myself in my guild in LOTRO. We are mature kinship there as well. Been playing LOTRO for 2+ years (Khazad Fundinul on Brandywine) and game's brilliance is diminishing on me due to gear gating and forced radiance gear raiding.

I love the STO's concept of both ground and space combat in one game. No other game so far has been able to pull it off. Even though Open Beta was pretty buggy with a lot of disconnects and server crashes I want to think that this was only due to the number of players who wanted to try STO and Cryptic didn't expect OB to be that popular. I think on 29th there will be many less people playing and we can hope for a smooth gameplay without servers crashing twice a day.

I have also sent a request to STO group and hope that it will be reviewed soon. Looking forward to your answer. I read your charter and legend and agree with it wholeheartedly.

Ive been accepted to the bronze group but not the STO group. I assum its a different person that does that and therefore not got permissions in the STO one.

Either way - let me know when you get around to it.

Having been a guild leader for 15+ years I know the importance of an active forum and website so I will of course be updating often. Will be nice to not be the leader for once and just enjoy the game.

I don't have a spam folder or filter. I know I entered the correct email address because the lost password recovery recognizes it.

I'll keep an eye out for you guys in game, but so far I haven't seen anyone that's on the officers list and only registered users can see the full roster.

You know, the whole “boring” content you need to go through to get anywhere is really the main thing I like about MMOs. Sure, I don’t particularly enjoy going through it with more than one character – but that’s why I stick mostly to a single character anyway. And some games offer multiple paths (in the beginning at least).The other part of MMOs, the endgame, is far too difficult to reconcile with my schedule. I’d rather pick up games where I can freely choose when and how much to play.Also, I enjoy reading quest texts.I guess the point I’m trying to make is that the game experience you’re aiming for may not be what all players really want. I have no idea about percentages, mind you, I might be alone in my opinion…
