Do you want to join Legend of a New Republic <LNR>?
All of our Chapters have an Open Door Policy. No silly questions, nominations, or other useless ways of trying to determine who is a quality member. We have a quality Guild and expect our members to act accordingly. Our Mission sets the tone and our Charter set the rules for everyone to follow and help enforce. People who don't measure up usually leave on their own.
If you are interested in joining Legend of a New Republic [LNR], please read the charter and send an in-game email or tell to any of our Bronze Rank Members or Officers.
Feel free to post a new thread here in the welcome section and ask any questions you like about the guild before joining!! You can do so without registering!

FAQ
- Can you explain more about the leadership committee of the STO chapter you are are setting up? How are the leaders of the fellowship determined?
The STO Chapter will most likely have 3 elected Co-Leaders. These positions will be open once the game is several weeks into beta or after release. The reason is that the game is still being developed and people may gain or lose interest depending upon the direction of the game. Everyone who is a member of the guild STO chapter and actively playing may enter the election.
Each Co-Leader will have approximately 3 Directors/Officers reporting to them to assist in running the guild and getting things done. These are not elected positions and while anyone can submit to be a Director, the Co-Leaders make the determination who will work for them.
- How many people do you want in this guild?
While our primary focus will be a high-quality community, it is our goal to be a large community as well. With a larger group of people working together, we are able to accomplish more. That said, we have a formal charter and expect all members to follow and help enforce it (regardless of rank).
- Will there be a fleet composed of separate ships or just one ship? Will people join up to be a tactical officer on a certain ship etc or just hold any position in game?
Legend of a New Republic will have a fleet of ships. We want everyone to explore their interests and help each other reach our goals. We will never tell people that "you can't be xyz profession" or limit people from what they would like to do. We do keep a roster of our games so people can see what professions/classes are not well represented so that folks who want to help in a critical area know where we need it most.
- Do you allow ALT characters, eg: someone plays as a captain mainly but maintains an engineer on the side?
Absolutely! We recruit the person, not the character. We not only would hope that you have all your characters join the Chapter, but also encourage it.
- Or are these things still open to the new guild ie they can be reformulated to meet the members' demands?
The Legend of a New Republic STO Chapter will change over time and always look to satisfy the needs of the members. The primary goal is to create a high quality Chapter of members. As more information about the game is released, we will all discuss ideas and thoughts on how the details of matching our Guild structure and policies to the game mechanics.
Officer Information
STO Chapter will be run by three Co-Leaders, each with their own roles and responsibilities. At this time, there is a program with any member wishing to be an acting Director of Recruiting can join the team. This team is charged with spreading information about our STO Chapter and helping welcome new members to the Chapter. No other Officer positions are open at this time.
